Founded in Saint Paul, Minnesota, 45th Street Management Group is a premier entertainment and events management group that specializes in full service concert and show promotions as well as night club event planning. We develop, produce and promote live events at a wide range of venues both locally and nationally.
45th Street Management Group has more than 20 years of combined event production and promotion knowledge and expertise. We have produced a variety of shows with artists ranging from contemporary Hip Hop headliners such as 2 Chainz, and Boosie, as well as old school funk legends Cameo and Con Funk Shun. We have also managed events like the Ebony Fashion Fair in Minneapolis, MN and the Red Cat Jazz Festival in Galveston, TX.

Born and raised in St. Paul, MN, Mikal Davis, the son of two civic minded activist, grew up in a household where giving back to the community was instilled in his upbringing. Not only did Mikal have a passion for his community, but he loved music and entertainment, and throughout his professional development he found a way to combine all three elements.
While working in the entertainment industry, Mikal built a successful career in property management and maintenance. The idea of entering a new field of work was derived from one of his talents. In that time, he became a certified HUD occupancy specialist. With 20+ years of experience managing residential, commercial and subsidized properties, Mikal Davis went on to create his own comprehensive property management company in 2010 known as MWD Services, servicing the Twin Cities Metropolitan area.
In addition to property management, Mikal found a way to give back to his community – in particular the lives of young African-American men. He was determined to improve the condition of adolescent boys in his community, so he and his brother Malik Davis established a non-profit mentoring group called Project Rondo built on the motto, “All that we are we owe.” Its mission is to restore the neighborhood by developing opportunities for young men in the community. Project Rondo has been running strong for 2 years.
Given all of his endeavors, Mikal never lost sight of his childhood dream and over the last two decades, he has been affiliated with the events and concert promotions industry. In these years he’s been able to intensely study the business and take on several event ventures including an afterhours club, band management, talent shows and being a DJ. Most notably, Mikal was afforded the opportunity to be the president of the American Society of Young Musicians, ASYM, for four years. ASYM is a national organization comprised of musicians, music students, songwriters, studio technicians, and individuals in the music community who share a commitment to the development and support both educationally and musically of young musicians. While president, he had the honor of presenting Anthony Hamilton with one of his first awards as an artist at the 12th annual ASYM Benefits Concert & Awards. Through this he learned the industry’s nuances and was able to determine which elements would be vital to an elite business. With this knowledge and insight, he developed a large network of affiliates, built a solid team of individuals and crafted the 45th Street Management Group brand.

Through this group, Mikal plans to fill an entertainment void by creating the 45th Street Experience – events known for having quality headliners, unique venues and experiences where VIP treatment is the norm.
